Tuwa Studio Publisher

The private publishing portal Tuwa Studio uses to post its own finished videos to its own YouTube channel.

What it does

  • Uploads our finished videos, episodes and Shorts, to the Tuwa Studio YouTube channel, with their titles, descriptions, tags, subtitle files and thumbnails, and adds them to the channel’s playlists.
  • Reads the channel’s own list of videos and its YouTube Analytics (views, watch time and audience retention), which we use to plan future videos.

Who can use it

Only Tuwa Studio. It is a private web portal at admin.tuwastudio.com, behind Cloudflare Access: only the studio’s own Google account can sign in, and it acts only on the studio’s own YouTube channel. It is not offered to the public, and there is no way to sign up for it.

The Google data it uses, and why

The portal asks Google for these permissions, for the Tuwa Studio channel only:

  • youtube.force-ssl: to upload videos, set their thumbnails, add subtitle files and manage the channel’s playlists.
  • youtube.readonly: to read the channel’s own list of videos.
  • yt-analytics.readonly: to read the channel’s own statistics.

The portal keeps its long-lived key from Google encrypted on Cloudflare, the service that hosts it. Two more keys, one read-only and one that schedules our Shorts, are kept on the studio’s own computer for its scripts. No key ever appears in a web page or is shared. The portal stores the IDs and titles of the videos it uploads and, when it reads them, our own channel’s aggregate statistics. It collects nothing about viewers or any other YouTube user. Tuwa Studio Publisher uses YouTube API Services. Anyone using it agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. See also the Google Privacy Policy.

Tuwa Studio Publisher’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
